Saving Lives,
One dog at a time.
Preventing Euthanasia, Providing Fostering, Re-Homing and Giving All Dogs a Second Chance.
OUR WHY
Every Day...
Dogs lose their lives for no good reason.
Unfortunately, dogs are euthanized daily in shelters across the country. Dogs who still have plenty of love to give are simply "put down."
Additionally, many dogs locally need a new place to call home.
Dogs need help:
Shelters are overpopulated
Overwhelmed owners who don't have enough time
They've been lost, abused, or neglected
They act "inconveniently" for their owners
OUR PURPOSE
Love has no timeline...
Rescue Love was created to save and improve the lives of Dogs.
Our Hearts are for the dogs and the
goal is to find the perfect family for each of the dogs we meet or save.
We do this in three primary ways:
We provide a network of foster homes for dogs to remove them from the "kill list" until they can find their forever home
We help match dogs with loving homes for life
We raise funds to cover the expenses of transporting dogs out of "kill states" to our facility for fostering and re-homing
OUR NEEDS
How you can help...
Foster a Dog
Sometimes our rescued dogs just need a comfortable place to land while in transition.
Please consider signing up to be a foster home for dogs that are rescued from euthanasia, but haven't yet found their forever home.
Adopt a Dog
After enduring major upheaval, our rescue dogs need loving, accepting homes to call their own.
Please consider signing up to adopt one of our rescues. We will take extra care to be sure you are a good match for one another.
Support a Dog
Unfortunately, it costs more to save the life of a rescue dog than to end it.
Please consider supporting our efforts by contributing whatever you can on a one-time or recurring basis. All contributions are tax-deductible.
CURRENT DOGS
Are we meant to be?
Tucker
Tucker came to his family as the 3rd of 3 Dachsaunds, being the youngest of the bunch. He has grown up and now thinks he is the Alpha to the older dogs. Confusion and chaos insued, and for his peace and the peace of the household his owner made the very difficult decision to rehome Tucker. Tucker needs a loving family where he is the only dog. He plays well at daycare, loves to snuggle and is a great companion for the right person.
Missy
Missy is 3 years old and she is a sweety. She has had a very loving home. She spent days with the dad of the family and received bunches of attention. When he passed away, Missy was not only sad, but with her mom working long hours she's lonely. Missy needs a loving home where she can be active, go on walks, and just be with her peoople. Missy is not socialized very well with other dogs, so it would be best if she is in a one dog home
Help us Help Them
Rescue Love was created to save dogs from "high kill" shelters. These dogs' are on the euthanasia list, mostly due to overcrowding - not because of any behavioral problems with the dogs. It's an unforrtunate situation but one we hope to rectify one dog at a time.
You can help us save more dogs, by registering as a foster, an adopter or by donating for transportation and veterinay fees.
It costs about $1500 per dog to save their life. All donations are applied directly to those fees.
Oliver
Oliver was saved the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. He is an adorable, frisky, friendly 1 year old pup ready for a forever home.
If you are interested in Oliver, plese fill out the foster or adoption form at the top of the page.
