Saving Lives,

One dog at a time.

Preventing Euthanasia, Providing Fostering, Re-Homing and Giving All Dogs a Second Chance.

OUR WHY

Every Day...

Dogs lose their lives for no good reason.

Unfortunately, dogs are euthanized daily in shelters across the country. Dogs who still have plenty of love to give are simply "put down."

Additionally, many dogs locally need a new place to call home.

Dogs need help:

  • Shelters are overpopulated

  • Overwhelmed owners who don't have enough time

  • They've been lost, abused, or neglected

  • They act "inconveniently" for their owners

OUR PURPOSE

Love has no timeline...

Rescue Love was created to save and improve the lives of Dogs.

Our Hearts are for the dogs and the

goal is to find the perfect family for each of the dogs we meet or save.

We do this in three primary ways:

  • We provide a network of foster homes for dogs to remove them from the "kill list" until they can find their forever home

  • We help match dogs with loving homes for life

  • We raise funds to cover the expenses of transporting dogs out of "kill states" to our facility for fostering and re-homing

OUR NEEDS

How you can help...

Foster a Dog

Sometimes our rescued dogs just need a comfortable place to land while in transition.

Please consider signing up to be a foster home for dogs that are rescued from euthanasia, but haven't yet found their forever home.

Adopt a Dog

After enduring major upheaval, our rescue dogs need loving, accepting homes to call their own.

Please consider signing up to adopt one of our rescues. We will take extra care to be sure you are a good match for one another.

Support a Dog

Unfortunately, it costs more to save the life of a rescue dog than to end it.

Please consider supporting our efforts by contributing whatever you can on a one-time or recurring basis. All contributions are tax-deductible.

"The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog"

CURRENT DOGS

Are we meant to be?

Scout

Scout is a 5 month old German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees. He is one of four we rescued from being dumped. He is very smart and knows basic commands. He is mostly potty and kennel trained. He loves people and does great with small and big dog. Scout is a relatively mellow puppy and loves attention. We are working with him daily to ensure he is ready for his furever home. He can be a little shy in public and needs socialization. He prefers a home with no young children. I am currently in a foster to adopt home.

Mickey

Mickey is a 3 year old pit mix. She was hours from being killed at the shelter when we saved her. She is a very sweet girl. Good with dogs big and small. She is fully potty and kennel trained. She is medium energy. While she loves her walks/jogs, she knows when it's time to be calm and relax. She knows basic commands and how to use a doggy door. Mickey is still at a foster home in California but will be transported up to Idaho soon and will be available for meet and greets.

Taco

Taco is a 2 year old Boston Terrier. Due to health issues he was surrendered to us with his brother Steve. They are not a bonded pair. Taco is a super sweet boy. He is medium energy. While he loves his play time he equally enjoys laying around with his people. Taco does good with other dogs. He prefers a home with no young children. He is potty and kennel trained. Taco is currently at our facility and needs a foster or adopter.

Harper

Harper is a 5 year old purebred German Shepherd. True to the breed, she has tons of energy and requires an active family or land to run on. She is very smart and knows commands. We recently introduced her to the treadmill to help burn some energy. She is doing great. Harper requires slow introductions to other dogs, she can be dog selective. She would do best as an only dog. She loves people and affection. She's an amazing girl who needs daily stimulation. She thrives on exercise and consistency. I am currently in a foster to adopt home.

Blanco

Blanco is a 3 year old Pitbull. We saved him moments before a California shelter was going to euthanize him. He has a horrible past and needs someone with patience and understanding. He is great with other dogs. He loves to cuddle on the couch with his people. Blanco is very special; he is partially deaf. He requires hand signals but is learning fast. He does good with other dogs big and small. Blanco has separation anxiety due to his trauma and needs a family that is home most, or all, the day. He is potty trained. This special boy needs a special home.

Riley

Riley is a 5 year old Springer Spaniel. Being a working breed, he requires a job or daily exercise to keep his mind and body busy. He is good with other dogs. He is currently going through training to learn to control his energy. He is potty and kennel trained. Riley would benefit from land to run on and/or someone experienced with the breed.

Pura

Pura is a 1 year old small breed mix. She is about 20 lbs. Her and her brother were rescued from a high kill shelter in California. She is good with most dogs, big and small. We are working with her daily on potty and kennel training. She is a medium energy dog and needs daily exercise. She knows basic commands. She loves everyone. I am currently in a foster to adopt home.

Yeti

Yeti is a 5 month old German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees. Brothers to Scout. He is super mellow. He knows commands and is potty trained. He is good with small and big dogs. He loves to cuddle and relax on the couch with his family. Yeti loves people and kids. I am currently in a foster to adopt home..

Stormy

Stormy is a 2 year old pit mix. Like others we have saved she only had hours left to live in a high kill shelter. She is a sweet girl who thinks she's a lapdog. Stormy is new to our rescue and more information will be provided once she settles in and we get to know her. Stormy is still at a foster home in California but will be transported up to Idaho soon and will be available for meet and greets.

Missy

Missy is 3 years old and is a sweety. She has had a very loving home. She spent days with the dad of the family and received bunches of attention. When he passed away, Missy was not only sad but her mom works long hours and she's lonely. Missy needs a loving home where she can be active, go on walks, and just be with her people. Missy is not socialized very well with other dogs, so it would be best if she was the only dog. I am currently in a foster home but would love a furever home.

Onyx

Onyx is a 2 year old Lab mix. He's a very good boy and loves people. He is good with other dogs of all sizes. He knows various commands. He grew up with a special needs child and is fabulous with them! Onyx is also cat friendly! He is kennel and potty trained. He is good off and on leash. He is a medium energy dog and loves playing outside. He also loves the water. I am currently in a foster home but would love a permanent home.

Steve

Steve is a 3 year old Yorkie mix. He came in with Taco after owner suffered health issues. They are not a bonded pair. Steve is a cuddle bug and prefers spending all his time cuddled up on the couch with his people. He is low energy. He is a little shy at first but warms up fast. He does good with other dogs as well but shy at first as well. He does good with kids also. He is very calm and sweet. He is potty and kennel trained. Steve is at our facility and needs a foster or adopter.

Lucky

Lucky is a 12 year old Beagle. He is looking for a foster home only. Lucky's mom is sick and he need a temporary foster while his mom recovers. Food, supplies and vet bills will be covered by our rescue. He is a very sweet boy. Great with other dogs. He is potty trained. He is an old boy and not very active. He would love to be a couch potato. Due to his age he doesn't thrive well at the rescue and is desperately seeking a foster.
